How much does Healthy Church Growth cost?

Healthy Church Growth costs are broken down into services and media spend.

Base services cost $2,000/month and include all work done to set up, run, monitor, and report on ads. In addition to these services, we charge $350/month per audience for the production of ads. An audience is defined as a location’s targeted population on an ad platform. For example, local adults over 45 years old on Facebook count as one audience. Google ads targeting all adults over 18 for your three campuses count as three audiences.

Media spend describes the money paid to the platform to run the ads. We recommend spending $1,000 per audience to get the best results, but in certain cases spending less is appropriate. $500 is the minimum spend we will run per audience. Anything less will not get your church a good return on investment.

As an example, if your church has two campuses, and wants to run Google search ads for each, your monthly spend will be:

$2,000 (Healthy Church Growth base services) + $750 (2 audiences) + $2,000 (media spend) = $4,750 total monthly cost

How do you target ads?

We target the neighborhoods around your church that are most likely to result in butts in the seats. By setting a small, 5 - 10 mile search radius centered on your church, we ensure your ad money is being used wisely to target those nearby.

Because of our geotargeting methods, we only serve one church within a 10-mile radius to prevent competition between our churches.

How do you target the audiences?

Within the first few weeks of your contract, we will determine the best audiences to target for your ad campaigns. Those might be young families or retirees. They could be everyone over 18.

Once we determine our target audiences, we build a profile for those audiences on the ad platforms, ensuring that any ads run will only be seen by members of that group.

In our first month of running ads, we’ll start with a broad picture of your audience, and monitor the results to focus on the most effective groups. We may target young families but then discover young moms are responding best to the messaging and bringing their families to church. We can adjust targeting easily to get the most out of your media spend and as many people in your church as possible.

How much should I spend on ads?

We recommend spending $1,000/month per audience to get the best results, but in certain cases spending less is appropriate. $500 is the minimum spend we will run per audience. Anything less will not get your church a good return on investment.

Similarly, spending more than $1,000 does not guarantee better results. Depending on your church size and location, you may experience diminishing returns with an increased ad spend. In the few months of service, our team will assess your situation, create a media plan, and analyze performance to determine the best media spend focused on getting people in the doors of your church.

The Healthy Church Growth team is made up of award-winning strategists, copywriters, media buyers, graphic designers, videographers, and project managers who have a heart to see God’s kingdom grow.

How soon will I see results?

You should start seeing results shortly after you begin running ads. In the first month, we’ll be continually refining your audience to find the target that gets the best results. In the following months, you should see very clear and consistent results.

What are the terms of service?

The Healthy Church Growth contract is for an ongoing partnership. Cancelation requires a 3-month notice due to the nature of batched work, training, and time commitment to the level of work. If additional work is needed, it can be added on a project-by-project basis and quoted per project, or discounted additional hours may be added to the retainer.

What is Vers Creative and how is it related to Healthy Church Growth?

Healthy Church Growth is a product of the strategic agency Vers Creative. While Vers serves both non-profit and for-profit organizations with marketing and advertising, the team wanted to create something specifically to help churches amidst the pandemic.

That project became Healthy Church Growth, a fully-fledged program designed to get more butts in the seats of your church.
